what is the difference between the curling ribbons?

The Original has a foam interior with a thin wire running through the centre. This allows curls to stay in place and allows for easy use (putting it in and taking it out). The ribbon itself measures 2cm thick, and 93cm long. The Original comes with 2 satin scrunchies.

The Dream has a soft cotton interior which makes it super soft and comfortable to sleep in. The ribbon is made from slightly higher quality silk, and measures 2.5cm thick and 88cm long. The two scrunchies are made from silk as opposed to satin.

The Slumber has a memory foam interior which is pefect for waves or a blow-out look rather than tight curls. The ribbon is 3cm thick and 90cm long, and has a 100% 22 momme (highest quality!) silk exterior with 2 silk scrunchies.

how long should I leave it in for?

We recommend keeping the curling ribbon in overnight, so when you wake up in the morning you save time on doing your hair. Approximately 5-7 hours works amazing.

If you hair tends to hold curls easily, then a few hours will do the trick!

how can I get the best results?

Follow these easy steps:

- use dry or slightly damp hair.

- clean hair works best, and mousse or curliing creams can be used if your hair works well with these.

- if you feel the ribbon is not curling the back of your hair well, position the ribbon closer to the crown of your head or try different wrapping techniques.

- wrapping your hair tighter around the ribbon gives tight curls, which can always be brushed out for a smoother look.

- as you wrap your hair down the ribbon, keep the ribbon close to the nape of your neck.

If you don’t get the results you want the first time, give it another go as each hair type is different. The more you use it the better you get at it!

can I wash the ribbon?

All ribbons can be hand-washed in cold warm water with pH-neutral detergent. Allow for plenty of time to air-dry. Do not put it in the washing machine or dryer.
